

Railway Museum City
Bridging tradition and the present, the Lapovo Municipal Assembly declared Lapovo the Railway Museum City in 2005. At several locations in Lapovo, 24 locomotive exhibits of various types are displayed, along with illuminated banners that illustrate Lapovo’s unbreakable connection with the railway.
Cultural and Tourist Center „Stefan Nemanja“
The Cultural and Tourist Center „Stefan Nemanja“ in Lapovo was built in the 1950s and has been expanded and adapted several times. It features a cinema hall with 250 seats and a gallery with special lighting for art exhibitions. From its inception, the center offered a diverse range of cultural events based on music, cinema, and theater performances.
These offerings have been enriched with tourist activities, creating a comprehensive and rich experience for all visitors and users. The center is particularly noted for its collaborative work on thematic exhibitions and literary evenings, in cooperation with the municipal library „Slovo“ in Lapovo.

Cultural and Tourist Center „Stefan Nemanja“
The gallery is located within the Cultural and Tourist Center „Stefan Nemanja“ in Lapovo. Throughout the year, it exhibits works by various domestic and international artists, depending on the current exhibition. On days without specific exhibitions, old pictures of Lapovo are displayed, allowing visitors to see what the town used to look like.
Municipal Library „Slovo“
The Municipal Library „Slovo“ is the only public library in the municipality. It focuses on user engagement and organizing various cultural and educational programs, such as literary evenings, book presentations, exhibitions, lectures, workshops, and various humanitarian activities.
The library includes an internet club, a children’s corner, a youth corner, and a parents’ corner. Its collection consists of 20,000 monographic publications, primarily domestic and translated literature, followed by children’s books and specialized literature. The collection also includes foreign language books. The library houses the legacy of Vera and Milan Stanković (co-authors of the monograph on Lapovo) with 660 books.
The Lapovo Library has 800 members. Traditionally, at the beginning of each year, library awards the most active users.
The library’s publishing activity is based on publishing books of a local character (19 titles so far). In the period from 2001 to 2004, the institution was the publisher of „Glas Lapova“, the newspaper of the Municipality of Lapovo.
A written record of the work of the Library and the local government unit since 2020 can be found in the newspaper „Slovo o Lapovo“, which is published four times a year and brings news from librarianship, literature, culture and local identity (other areas of business and community).
